There's one where you follow the soul memories of a meek adventurer trying to find his soul twin, which ends in an unexpected twist, and another one where you're hunting down pieces of an ancient warrior's helmet, reliving his memories and altering the helmet's stats based on the decisions you make in his flashbacks. Some of the side-quests are fairly interesting, at least. You have to make a few important decisions along the main quest line that seem like they'd have a lasting impact and possible branching outcomes in "part two," but they seemed to have little to no consequence within "part one." One can only wonder. Once I activated the forge, the main quest line just kind of ended, and I was left standing around town going "that's it?" as I talked to various NPCs trying to figure out what the actual consequences of the story were. For a game to sell the expansions in separate parts, they really do need to be self-contained so that you can justify buying only one and feel satisfied with the experience, but you'd think there'd be some kind of teaser about where the story's going to go in the next installment to entice to you to get the second one. As "part one" of a two-part expansion, the story is entirely self-contained it doesn't end in some dramatic cliffhanger that would force you to buy the next DLC just to finish the story, but at the same time it doesn't seem to set anything up for the sequel.

Anyway, you're probably wondering who the voice was, right? Well, I might as well say. Little did she know that someone, the one who was entrusting them with you, was watching from afar. Looking down at you, you cooed and smiled. Who the crap was that? Were they using telepathy? Or was it just her imagination? Petra looked around to see if there was someone nearby. The redhead picked you up as she heard a faint sound in her mind. Was this wolf a canine social worker or something? It nodded it's head and walked away like the whole thing was freaking normal. The wolf growled, opened its mouth as wide as it possibly could.Īnd grabbed the box with the baby and dragged it towards Petra. But something unexpected happened that she never saw coming. They leaped to tackle her.Īnd she stuck her sword out as the blade went through the wolf. The second silver wolf charged at her while her back was turned. One of the silver wolves lunged at her, but she quickly sliced her sword at its stomach, making it turn into a cloud of white smoke. The wolves immediately snapped their heads in her direction and snarled. Petra stepped out of the bushes and twirled her sword a little. The situation that just so happened to be that THE BABY WAS GOING TO BE WOLF CHOW! It was a (MANGER nah I'm just kidding XD) cardboard box with a h/c-haired, e/c-eyed baby inside it, completely oblivious of the situation. Petra stopped short when she saw what the wolves were circling. Ducking behind a few bushes, Petra could see one black (the blur) and two silver wolves circling something. She drew her golden sword, hopped down the tree and snuck toward where she saw the blur. The redhead flipped herself right-side up, and immediately saw a black blur out of the corner of her eye. "I never thought I'd be bored as a warrior. She was bored out of her mind since she thought the city was, brace for it, too safe. Petra sat upside down on a tree, aimlessly dangling her arms as she stared at the setting sun. If you need a fun place to start, check out a couple of our favorite spots.
